I read John Heliker's letter in the August 7th issue and agree with him completely. What's happening to "our town"? Having Quick Chek and Rite Aid on Washington Street was a major convenience for us average Hobokenites...most of us buy a gallon of milk more often than we make a bank deposit!
Take a look, a lot of empty stores on Washington Street and my biggest grievance, having our one movie theater closed down. Not everyone has a car. If we want to go to the movies we now have to take a bus or the Path train. Can't something be done about that? We have enough banks, cell phone stores, nail salons and sushi restaurants. How about getting our one movie theater back?
