Time is but the passing of seasons, these seasons of silence. The melting white snow or petals of a blood red rose. The gentle ocean breeze, autumn leaves on graveyard trees and once again drifting of snow. These have been seasons of silence, one day followed by yet another. Imagine that 13,150 days of silence have past. These have been seasons of silence, these days lost to war. These days counted by few yet still have been counted, belonged to an American son. An American son who can no longer enjoy the scent of that blood red rose. A blood red rose for each day lost to war. A blood red rose to remember the seasons of silence. Yes silence from the thunder of that obscene war.
